- The April 21, 2008 University Record highlights research by RCGD researchers Linda Chatters, Robert Taylor and James Jackson in an article entitled, "Divine Intervention: Blacks use Prayer to Cope with Stress".
- An article, "Unequal Perspectives on Racial Equality", published March 24, 2008 in the Washington Post highlights research conducted by Amanda Brodish, a Research Fellow in RCGD’s “Achievement Research Lab”.
- Research recently highlighted in a New York Times article, "East & West Part ways in Test of Facial Expressions", came from work conducted right here at Michigan by Takahiko Masuda (former Ph.D. student), Phoebe Ellsworth (RCGD Faculty Associate), Batja Mesquita (former Visiting Scholar), and Jan Leu (former Ph.D. student) as well as Shigehito Tanida and Ellen Van de Veerdonk.

- Research conducted by Pam Davis-Kean (RCGD Research Asst Professor) and Justin Jager (Post-Doc Fellow) is highlighted on the University of Michigan’s Home Page in an article titled "Achievement Gaps within Racial Groups Identified for First Time”
- Congratulations to Amy Canevello, newly appointed RCGD Research Investigator. Amy has worked as a postdoc scholar for Jenny Crocker's program area.
- An obituary for Len Eron, written by Rowell Huesmann and Eric Dubow appears in Feb-Mar 2008 issue of the American Psychologist. Earlier obituaries include this one published in the New York Times (May 2007).

- National Science Foundation highlights CAPCA research: Children's Bad Behavior Gives Insights to Academic Achievement and Later Career Success
- Sean Joe (RCGD Faculty Associate) received the 2008 Society for Social Work and Research Deborah K. Padgett Early Career Achievement Award. This award recognizes Sean's "innovative scholarship, a rigorous approach to social work research, and work that exhibits an emerging influence in the field". It will be presented at the upcoming Presidential Awards Ceremony on Friday, January 18th, at the 2008 SSWR Conference in Washington, DC.
