Current work focuses on cross-cultural and "cross professional" studies of reasoning and on the relations among economic factors and collective representations at the organizational or societal level, and beliefs, attitudes, and skills at the individual level. Two current applications include (1) the interrelations among cultural norms, intergroup relations and the acquisition of cognitive skills and (2) the study of "cultures of honor" that are accepting of violence as a means of conflict resolution and self-enhancement.
