Elaine Whitaker

Elaine began working for the center in 1998 as a part-time Research Secretary. Over the years she has gradually worked up to full-time and currently she holds the title Research Administrator. She is responsible for pre- and post-award support for several of the faculty. She also coordinates the Group Dynamics Seminars which is a weekly presentation series hosted by RCGD and related to the research conducted in one of the many programs within RCGD. Among her many responsibilities she most enjoys event planning such as workshops, symposiums and seminars. Elaine has been married for 40 years and is the mother of five, and grandmother of nine. Together with her children they form a band called "The Whitakers" and have produced two albums. Being involved in her church and spending time with her family are probably the most enjoyable elements of her life.
